The importance of incoming inspection of components

The incoming inspection of key components used in the manufacturing of our analysers and devices is essential to ensure their compliance and functionality before they are used in Production. The Metrology team has the personnel and measuring instruments necessary to carry out this inspection process.

When a new batch of components requiring inspection arrives at our warehouse, a sampling is performed, and the selected units are checked according to the specifications in their control instructions.

For each inspected batch, the number of units checked, the inspection equipment used, the data obtained from the measurements, any observations the technicians wish to make, the supplier documentation deemed necessary, and the final result of the inspection are all recorded.

If the inspected batch does not meet any of the established requirements and is not suitable for use in production, the Quality, Production Engineering, and Purchasing teams will work together to solve the material non-conformity as quickly as possible. If the inspected batch meets all the established requirements, it can be released and delivered to the raw materials warehouse for use in production.
